Privacy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This is a plain-language summary of how Theo’s Notes handles your information. It isn’t a lengthy legal document, because the app does very little with your data.
The short version
- No account, no login.
- We don’t store your conversations on our servers — they’re saved only in your own browser, and you can clear them anytime with “New chat.”
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
- The only personal information we keep is what you deliberately send through the Fellowship form.
Your conversations
Your chat with Theo lives in your browser only — it is never saved on our servers. It’s stored locally on your device (so it’s still there if you refresh or come back later) until you clear it. Use the “New chat” button to erase it at any time; clearing your browser data removes it too.
To answer you, though, the text you send is transmitted to OpenAI, which processes it to generate Theo’s reply under OpenAI’s API terms. We don’t control what OpenAI does with data on their systems, so please don’t type anything into the chat you wouldn’t want sent to a third-party AI provider.
The Fellowship form
If you send feedback, a question, a bug report, or a prayer request, we store your message — and your email address, if you choose to include it — in our database, and email it to the site’s owner so we can read and respond.
Because prayer requests and messages can be personal, please share only what you’re comfortable having stored. Don’t include sensitive details you’d rather keep private.
Cookies & tracking
None. Theo’s Notes uses no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking cookies.
Where your data lives
The site runs on Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database), and Fellowship messages are delivered by email through Resend. These providers process data only as infrastructure on our behalf.
Changes
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and revise the date above.
